Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers mental health treatment, detox services and specialized care for military members with a co-occurring disorder.

Our military-focused mental health program offers:

  • Veteran-trained therapists:With specialized training in PTSD and other conditions that tend to affect service members, we understand how your training, culture and experiences in the military affect your recovery.
  • TRICARE®-certified rehab center:We proudly accept TRICARE for inpatient hospitalization at our rehab center. TRICARE covers emergency intervention and stabilization for mental health or withdrawal crises, as well as non-emergency rehabilitation for substance use disorders and psychiatric conditions.
  • Peer support: Fostering an environment of trust, respect and camaraderie, our program will group you with other service members. Through shared experiences and mutual understanding, you can help your peers overcome challenges similar to your own.

Inpatient Treatment for PTSD

Trauma can have negative effects on the physical, mental and emotional health of military members. As part of our rehabilitation program, we help you identify and process trauma so that you can move forward with long-term recovery.

Post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD) is a mental health disorder that can result from experiencing or witnessing a traumatic, distressing event. And while PTSD doesn’t only affect military personnel, it is a common consequence of combat, war, violence and terrorism.

We offer comprehensive care for PTSD, as well as other mental health conditions, such as:

  • Anxiety disorders
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Depression
  • Drug or alcohol use disorder
  • Mood disorders

Suicide Prevention for Military Members: What is the COMPACT Act?

When you’re in a crisis, financial concerns should not prevent you from getting the care you need. The Comprehensive Prevention, Access to Care, and Treatment (COMPACT) Act entitles veterans in a suicidal crisis to go to any VA or non-VA healthcare facility in their community for emergency care at no cost.

Under the COMPACT Act, you receive free:

  • Inpatient or crisis residential care for up to 30 days
  • Outpatient care for up to 90 days
  • Transportation to and from care
  • Access to social services and community-based programs
