The Adolescent Inpatient Program

The Adolescent Inpatient Program provides an opportunity for adolescents ages 14-17 to learn and practice behavioral skills to manage a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and family problems.

Inpatient Treatment for Adolescents

The patient, family, and referring health professionals are integral parts of our comprehensive treatment plan, which includes group, family, recreational therapy, developmental therapy, and medication management tailored to the adolescent. The Adolescent Inpatient Program addresses the needs of patients who are experiencing:

  • Depression/suicidal thoughts
  • Urges to commit suicide/suicide attempts
  • Self-harming behaviors
  • Aggressive/impulsive behaviors
  • Bipolar disorder
  • Anxiety disorder
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder
  • Panic disorders
  • Substance abuse
  • Personality disorders
  • Thought disorders/paranoia

Our Adolescent Inpatient Program includes art therapy, dance/movement therapy, activities therapy, and family education. We also focus on therapy techniques such as:

  • Adult peer communication skills
  • Cognitive and reality behavior
  • Behavioral management

Treatment occurs in a highly structured, secure environment, and we take pride in our staff of specialized, highly-trained health professionals. Our program offers internal medicine monitoring, daily visits from our board-certified psychiatrists and licensed mental health professionals.
