Our Services
The Affective Disorder Program at Central Florida Behavioral Hospital offers a unique program designed for adults with a primary affective disorder such as depression, bipolar and/or anxiety disorders.

The General Adult Program is an inpatient treatment program with a specialized level of care, designed to meet the needs of individuals who are experiencing a variety of mental health disorders.

The Persistent Mental Health Program is designed to provide treatment to individuals with severe and persistent mental illness, such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective disorder, and bipolar disorder. These patients often experience complex symptoms that require ongoing treatment and management.

The Dual Diagnosis Program is an inpatient treatment program for adults ages 18 and older who suffer from a co-occurring mental health and substance abuse disorder. Our program is deeply embedded in Alcoholics Anonymous’ 12-step recovery program and includes weekly meetings on-site.

A unique inpatient program designed specifically for mature adults who suffer from mental health or dual diagnosis disorders. This setting is designed as a place where patients can thrive in an intimate, age specific and non-confrontational peer group.

Treatment occurs in a highly structured environment which provides an opportunity for children ages 5-13 to learn and practice behavioral skills to manage a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and family problems.

Treatment occurs in a highly structured environment which provides an opportunity for teens ages 14-17 to learn and practice behavioral skills to manage a wide range of emotional, behavioral, and family problems.

Electroconvulsive therapy is a treatment option for adults 18 years and older with severe behavioral health issues who have either not responded to medications or whose symptoms are too severe to permit medication trials.

PHP can be an effective solution for patients in need of an intensive, structured, daily therapeutic environment who do not require 24-hour care. It can help individuals transition from inpatient care or it can provide the support and structure needed to prevent an inpatient stay.

The outpatient services we offer allow patients to continue working and going to school, so they can mend their lives without disrupting them. We’ve designed it to include a schedule that’s both part-time and intensive. Anyone who isn’t sure whether inpatient or outpatient therapy is right for them need only ask our highly qualified staff; we’re always happy to help.
A Word From Our Patients
“Treatment here was overall good. All the staff members were amazing. The staff listens well. They were aware of my transition from female to male and used the correct pronouns, always. I felt comfortable in my own skin and I think it was because the staff and everyone was so understanding. The world is a mean place, but here I found kindness.”
My 10 year old with Autism was sent to be evaluated for admission, (Baker Act) after having a meltdown at the doctor’s office. I was terrified & truly believed they would just admit him without listening. I couldn’t have been more wrong. I want to thank Tatianna for her intelligence, kindness, patience and support she immediately offered. Tatianna’s gentle personality calmed my son and I immediately after being brought in. Tatianna, you are truly a blessing! You took the time to listen, and truly were there to help during this stressful time. You provided me with the information I needed to help my son and I. I didn’t expect anyone to take the time to look at the overall picture but I was wrong. I would bring my son to you anytime there are any concerns in regards to his mental health. Thank you again!
“Everyone from the doctors to the custodial staff to the kitchen staff was kind, courteous, knowledgeable, compassionate, empathetic, supportive, diplomatic, helpful and humanitarian. I simply cannot say enough! I thank each and every one of them. They are collectively and individually true life savers. They are wonderful!
It is my belief that if more mental health facilities would pattern themselves after CFBH the world would be a kinder place for people with mental health issues. This is what I would call a wellness center. Thank you to all.”
